"Promoting Health on European Campuses: Building a SEA-EU Health & Well-being Network"

The aim of this Staff Week is to collaborate and exchange experiences and good
practices in the leadership and management of health and well-being initiatives within
our Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). In addition, we will explore the foundations
that strengthen their implementation, contributing from our field to a more efficient
and competitive university.
The personal and professional well-being of the people who make up the organization
deserves special attention, as it is a main factor in an organization's ability to attract
and retain talent. The challenge, in an environment of uncertainty and budgetary
restrictions, is to integrate health promotion - covering aspects like sexual health,
healthy eating, and physical activity- as a strategic factor.
The current requirements of the political, economic, and social environment
necessitate that we cultivate an organizational culture that provides the capabilities,
skills, and knowledge necessary for our community to compete and achieve
established goals. Promoting health is a determining and strategic factor for HEIs,
directly impacting motivation, performance, and talent retention. By investing in
well-being, we aim to introduce a factor of personal motivation and internal control
and ultimately improve the efficiency of the system and the incentives of our staff and
students.
