The GEHA was created in 1993 and is made up of professors and researchers from different universities and areas of knowledge. It carries out its activity in close collaboration with other similar groups, both Spanish and foreign, with which it develops joint research projects at a national and international level. Its objective is the comparative study of human development in the present time, from a multidisciplinary perspective, emphasizing the integration of historical, descriptive, explanatory and prospective analysis of social processes on a global and regional scale, with special attention to the European, American and Arab-Islamic spaces, in order to promote the valuable common heritage of this complex area of civilization.
