3 sectors A1&A2 (conventional (SPF), OGM (SOPF), infectious)

Research area: Cancerology; Dermatology; Genetic; Immunology, Infectiology, Physiology, non-viral genetic therapy, toxicology

The main objective is to support all researchers in improving their practices to take better account of the welfare of animals under human care, while providing a technical-scientific reference framework to facilitate dialogue between researchers.

FELASA Function defined in article 23 of EU Directive 2010/63:
Function A: applying procedures to animals, equivalent to concepteur in France
Function B: designing projects and procedures, equivalent to praticien in France
Function C: taking care of animals equivalent to soigneurs in France
Function D: killing humanely animals.
