Biodimar

BIODIMAR is a corefacility of the University of Western Brittany, located in Brest and associated to the Marine Environment Sciences Laboratory (LEMAR) UMR6539.
BIODIMAR's primary vocation is the valorisation of bioactive natural substances of marine and terrestrial origin in the fields of health, cosmetology, nutraceutics and biotechnology. BIODIMAR is a centre of scientific expertise for services or research collaborations for companies and public research. Biodimar's objective is to extract, purify and characterise marine biomolecules from its own collection (e.g. from marine organisms such as macroalgae, etc.).
BIODIMAR supplies fractions or pure molecules from marine organisms with original biological activity, either to academic research laboratories or to industry (pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, blue or green chemistry or agri-food). BIODIMAR perform many bioassays.
