Juan José González de la Rosa is Full Professor at the University of Cádiz (Electronics-Research Group in Computational Instrumentation and Industrial Electronics). Born in 1969, he is honoured Senior Member of The IEEE - Instrumentation and Measurement Society and Excellecy Physicst by the Spanish Oficial Collegue. He has been distiguished with 3 research periods and 1 knowledge transference and innovation period from the National Comission for the Assessment.

Technology Expertise

The Research Group in Computational Instrumentation and Industrial Electronics focuses its activity on the development of smart measurement applications, mainly in the industrial sector. He has extensive experience in the National Research Plan and has renowned researchers in the field of Power Quality (PQ), Prediction of wind and solar energy potentials, Higher-Order Statistics (HOS), Statistical Signal Processing, and general electronic instrumentation and sensor networks. More specifically, his lines of research are:

- Monitoring techniques for smart grid solutions, including supply quality monitoring, sensor networks for energy management and instrumentation in meteorological and environmental monitoring solutions.

- Data processing techniques for the management of energy systems, energy prediction, identification of loads and occupation patterns.

- Computational intelligence in instruments, automatic electronic test and measurement equipment

- Electronic instrumentation and virtual instrumentation for industrial applications. Characterization of acoustic emissions and mechanical vibrations.

- Analysis of the quality of electrical energy.

- Evaluation and prediction of solar and wind resources.
