Short description of research profile

The main topic of research of our group is the chemical composition and biological potential of
Dalmatian aromatic and medicinal plants. The chemical composition of volatile extracts is
performing by using GC-MS-MS system, while the composition of nonvolatile extracts is performing
by using HPLC-DAD and LC-MS-MS. Among the biological potential of plant extracts and pure natural
compounds our research group is testing the antioxidant potential, the enzyme inhibition potential
(AChE, BuChE, alpha-glucosidase,..), the cytotoxic and apopoptic effect. The aim of our research to
be find new plant extract as well as pure natural compound with strong biological effect on human
health.
