PI bio

Pedro L. Galindo is Full Professor of Computer Science and Engineering and leader of the Intelligent Systems group at the Univ. of Cadiz, Spain. He is author of the PPA software for strain mapping. On the research side, his interest is on the development of software for electron microscopy at the atomic level. On the innovation side, he has been involved in Industry 4.0 related projects.
He has tutored 9 PhD and is the Coordinator of the PhD Programme in Computer Science and Engineering at the Univ. of Cadiz
Since 2017 he is also honorary profesor at the Department of Physics, Univ. of York, UK for his contributions in the development of software for nanotechnology

Technology Expertise

The research group has published more than 70 papers in high impact journals (JCR), 40 of them in the first quartile.
In the last years, the group has participated in three european, 20 national and 5 regional R&D projects.
The group has won several prizes at the AtrEBT innovation contest in the last three years, being the winner in 2019 of the the first and second global prizes.
In the innovation area, the group has developed different Industry 4.0 projects with large industrial companies(AIRBUS, NAVANTIA, ALTRAN, ACERINOX, etc.), and is nowadays collaborating with the local football team, Cádiz C.F, in the second spanish league.
The group has been the leader in the three fundings for the supercomputer of the university of Cádiz
