Composition of Joint Unit of Research, if relevant

The Research Group is composed of researchers in the field of Medicine, Nursing and Pharmacy with specialties such as Endocrinology and Nutrition, Primary Care and Clinical Analysis. Our group studies the importance of Nutrition and lifestyle in the treatment and prevention of Cardiovascular Risk Factors, type 2 diabetes mellitus and obesity. As well as in the use of information and communication technologies (e-Health and m-Health) in said prevention and treatment.

The research activity focuses on: 1) Anthropometric assessment of nutritional status. 2) Analysis using nutritional software of the composition of the diet. 3) Assessment and personalized calculation of nutritional needs and diets. 4) Assessment of body composition using bioimpedance. 5) Analysis of the basal metabolic rate by indirect calorimetry, 6) Nutritional education. 7) Use of e-Health and m-Health applied in prevention and treatment.
