A nurse and a graduate in documentation, she completed a master's degree in research and innovation in health care in 2010 and obtained a doctorate in 2015.
University Professor of the Nursing Area of the University of Cadiz. She develops her teaching activity in subjects of the Degree in Nursing related to reproductive health, ICTs applied to health care and transcultural care. He has participated and led numerous projects of teaching innovation, as well as the publication of practice guides for students.
Main researcher of the research group CTS 1019 Research Methodology and Standardized Nursing Languages. She obtained a six-year research period recognized by the CNAI in 2013. Her research activity has been disseminated through National and International Conferences, and through the publication of different articles in international nursing journals of recognized prestige.
Currently, she is the principal researcher of two funded regional projects and participates in a European project. In the field of University Management, she has held the position of Director General of Research, Director of the Secretariat for Research Support and Secretary of the Department of Nursing and Physiotherapy.
