Short description of research profile
The research group for journalism and new media is an active and broad research group. Our research interests include journalistic practice, local journalism, games and social media.
Journalism represents an important social institution in a democratic society. Journalism is nevertheless influenced by external framework conditions, both national and international. New technologies, the spread of new media, changing usage habits and new business models mean that journalism undergoes constant changes and the public conversations in society take place in constantly new arenas.
