CinTurs is an interdisciplinary research unit in the field of Social Sciences. CinTurs ’s mission is to generate and share knowledge in the realm of Tourism and Hospitality Management, aiming to promote the sustainable development of tourist destinations across their environmental, economic, and socio-cultural dimensions and to enhance the well-being of tourists, host communities, and those working in the tourism sector.

The Center for Advanced Studies in Management and Economics (CEFAGE) was created in 2006, with the aim of promoting high quality research in the areas of Management and Economics. Since 2009 CEFAGE is funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) (previous project reference: UID/ECO/04007/2013; current project reference UIDB/04007/2020).
