The laboratory offers the use of industrial-standard automation facilities such as modular programmable logic controllers (PLCs), pneumatic systems, human-machine interface (HMI) terminals among others. The lab also offers facilities related to robotic systems including unmanned ground vehicles, unmanned aerial vehicles, robot swarms and educational robotic kits. It also has customised, house-built smart wheelchair. Finally, the lab also offers several embedded PCs and real-time interface boards (dSPACE) and PC interfaced DC servomechanisms which can be used for the design and integration of control systems.
