I had a degree in Medicine from the University of Cadiz (UCA). I was awarded a 4-year FPU fellowship funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (2001-2015) to develop my PhD thesis. I obtained my international PhD with the maximum distinction “cum laude” (2015) and Extraordinary Award.
Then I was awarded a 2-year POSTDOC  fellowship by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation at the University of Athens (Internal Medicine Department) to get experienced on the assessment of proinflammatory status. Later, back at UCA, I got my position as Assistant  Professor and then I promoted to Associate Professor and finally Full Professor (2016)

Technology Expertise

Our group is well-trained to design intervention programs based on exercise (both, resistance and aerobic training programs)
In addition, we are ready to conduct:
1) Assessment of body composition by DEXA, Bio-Impendance and standardized kineanthropometry.
2) Maximal and submaximal stress test (maximal oxygen consumption; anaerobic thereshold; etc.)
3) Spectrophotometry and HPLC tecniques
