Short description of research profile

The research group studies different aspects in relation to research-based teacher education.

he research group has seven members from the Faculty of Education and Arts, Nord University, and collaboration with researchers from Åbo Akademi University, Oslo Metropolitan University, and the UiT The Arctic University of Norway.

At the moment there are four active research projects in the group that focus on research-based teacher education from different perspectives: newly qualified teachers, teacher educators, practice theory, and scientific work. All projects have recently started except for the first project which soon will be completed. Several of the projects have a comparative character with comparisons between Norway and Finland. All projects are based on empirical data, qualitative and/or quantitative.
