Short description of research profile

Research topics:

  • Test of selected biological models' response to stressing conditions mimicking space environment
  • Mars environment simulation by means of a 57L stainless steel chamber that equipped with a sample holder, a vacuum pump (HiScroll 12, Pfeiffer), to reach a total pressure in the range 4-6m Bar; two deuterium lamps with a spectral distribution from 160 nm to 400 nm (L11799 and L16551, Hamamtsu); a gas inlet, to create a 95% CO2 atmosphere inside the chamber; a temperature sensor, to simulate the diurnal T variation, from 253,15 K to 313,15 K.
  • Air and soil chemical analyses
