The research group in learning and technology works to increase involvement in Nord University's teacher training both nationally and internationally.

Higher education plays an increasingly important role for economic growth, innovation and sustainable development. In the labor market, digital competence will be increasingly in demand in line with increasing technology and global competition.

Our group works by providing models, tools and procedures to solve optimization problems associated with intensive data classification, paying special attention to the development of flexible models and feature selection on supporting vector machines. In order to do that, we use techniques of Linear and Nonlinear Integer Mathematical Programming.
