Raffaella Antinucci is Full Professor of English Literature and Director of CRILLS (Interdepartmental Research Centre for Languages and Cultures) at Parthenope University of Naples, and former Lecturer in Italian at Manchester Metropolitan University (UK). Her main areas of research include Victorian culture and fiction, corpus stylistics and comparative literatures, with a special focus on Anglo-Italian relations in the nineteenth century. She is the author of two monographs, four critical editions and several articles on Victorian and modernist writers. She co-edited a volume on maritime terminology and sea literature (Navigating Maritime Languages and Narratives, Peter Lang, 2017) and a collection of essays on the terminology of traditional Neapolitan arts and crafts (Cambridge Scholars, 2019). She co-edits the book series "Riverrun", and she is on the Steering Committee of the international project "Terminology Without Borders", launched by the European Parliament, and on the board of the academic journals Traduttologia, Fictions and CounterText.
The CRILLS carries out research and educational activities in the field of foreign languages, cultures, and literatures, particularly in the areas of (English and French):
- lexicology and lexicography;
- terminology and terminography;
- discourse analysis;
- corpus linguistics and stylistics;
- literary criticism and translation;
- cross-cultural and genre studies;
- new digital literacies, webwriting, and their multimodal/media dimension.
