Composition of Joint Unit of Research

The DPD research group (HUM462) focuses its teaching and research activity mainly on educational activity.

Given its composition and research activity, it covers all levels of education, primary, secondary and university. It is oriented towards the study of methodological and assessment procedures for the teaching and learning process in different fields of knowledge and, on the other hand, towards training processes for teachers at different levels.

Its works are reflected in the 272 Publications in Journals of different fields and impact indexes, in the 189 Chapters of Books published and in the 421 Contributions made in Congresses, of different topics and fields.

In recent years much of the activity has revolved around the study of Education for Sustainability and its integration into the educational system, especially the university system.

Throughout its long trajectory of more than 20 years, its members have participated in different research projects, together with national and analytical universities and various European projects.

Pilar Azcárate Goded, graduated in Physical Sciences (1977), Ph.D. in Education (1995), she is professor at the University of Cádiz, Spain (1985). Teaching in in degree courses of Infant Education, in Master's courses of Environmental Education, in Secondary Teacher Training and in Educational Research for Teacher Professional Development. He has participated in different doctoral programs and directed numerous doctoral theses. Her current research interests include sustainability in higher education, curriculum sustainability, methodological strategies, and evaluation systems in the classroom consistent with sustainability, and teacher training.
