The Energy Transition Lab is part of the Programme of Research and projects within the Centre for Sustainable Development (University of Gdansk).
Sylwia Mrozowska is a political scientist and an academic tutor as well as a professor at the University of Gdańsk and the Director of the Center for Sustainable Development at the University of Gdańsk. Sylwia is a member of the Coordinating Council Polish offshore sectoral deal and coordinator of the working group: social education at the Ministry of Climate and Environment. She has managed, coordinated and developed scientific research and development projects. Her research interests focus on: social and political conditions for the development of energy technologies, energy transition, and challenges to sustainable development.
The Energy Transition Lab proposes an ambitious and original programme of research and engagement responding to the challenges of energy transition in the European Union.
The interdisciplinary research group contribute to the knowledge to design inclusive, socially just, gender-sensitive and economically viable transition pathways towards climate neutrality. The focus of this project is to develop an understanding of the mutual shaping of society and energy technologies (STS) and the mechanisms that hinder or foster equality in society - principles enshrined in Sustainable Development Goal 10 (Agenda 2030).
