Short description of shared resource

The equipment of the laboratory includes powerful ion sources produced from solid or gas phase substances. Ion optics and a high resolution mass selector allow to obtain a highly collimated beam of selected ions, which crosses with the gas beam under high vacuum and single collision conditions. Using mass spectrometry, product fragments resulting from ion-gas interactions are analysed. The luminescence produced by the collisions is also studied.
