Investigation of composite multi-drum stone column under an earthquake. The purpose of this research is to investigate several key parameters on the bearing capacity of a composite free-standing multi-drum stone column under an earthquake. Also, within these studies a large amount of experimental data on the behaviour of stone column due to earthquakes would be collected.
Within these group, contribution of under-researched sub-hourly sea level oscillations to the extreme sea levels along the European coasts is studied.
Our research combines molecular dynamics simulation studies and experiments to gather data on two different systems; a) associations occurring among antimicrobial peptides; b) multicomponent molecular liquids including surfactant-free-microemulsions.
The research focuses on observations, analyses and modeling of atmospheric and oceanic processes at different time and climatic scales using high-resolution numerical models. Studies also include coastal water pollution using ground-based meteorological measurements, remote sensing, and unmanned aerial vehicles.
Development of bacterial growth/inactivation models. Study of modes of antibacterial action of metallic nanoparticles through experimental probing and modelling. Characterization of nanoparticles. Atomic force microscopy and spectroscopy of different cell types. Study of the transport of different membrane species within a membrane. Modeling and simulating membrane diffusion. Understanding an interplay between all the physical effects on the length and time scales of the living cell.
Physics Education Research and Development Group provides the basis for the advancement of physics education through research and practice. The group also examines general principles of quality assurance in education systems and the relevance of educational outcomes in society and participates in the development of the national curriculum and qualifications frames.
Research group is dedicated to explore the new ideas and practices in the field of fundamental human rights and field of health care and to bring new knowledge in this area. The subject of the research will be the protection of patient rights, the rights of other associated groups such as health workers, people with disabilities, vulnerable groups etc.
