Ethnographic welfare studies
The research group for ethnographic welfare studies is particularly concerned with the consequences of legislative changes and reforms for both service providers and users.
In recent decades, a number of legislative changes and reforms have been implemented in Norway.
Social and Applied Psychology Research Team
- A great part of our research focuses on the phenomenon of Metacognitive Self, understood as self-awareness of biases in social perception. Our research reports to date indicate the motivating role of the metacognitive self in learning, it's importance for human development, and is rooted in cognitive processing.
Environmental Psychology and Intergroup Relations Lab
Our research focused on group processes and intergroup relations, urban life, place attachment, walkability, well-being, processes of radicalization and polarization, personality factors influencing social relations.
Economic Psychology Lab
- Our projects aim at making people understand what determines well-being and quality of life in socio-economic and cultural context. The areas of our interest include: social psychology, psychology of individual differences, economic psychology, consumer and organizational psychology.

LP3C - Psychology Laboratory: Cognition, Behavior, Communication
The LP3C (Psychology Laboratory: Cognition, Behaviour and Communication) performs experimental research in psychology, including the fields of social psychology, cognitive psychology, ergonomics psychology, differential psychology, developmental psychology and education, with four major research areas:
