We have led numerous competitive research projects, among others, MoDSOA, DArDOS and FAME, supported by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation and European funds (ERDF), and SmartHealthyPort supported by the International Campus of Excellence in Marine Science (CEIMAR). Besides, we have participated in other projects, networks and proposals led by other research groups, such as H2020 European projects.

The main research interests are in the field of signal and image processing, with particular reference to Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and microwave remote sensing.
Her most significant scientific contributions are the following:
- development of radar imaging techniques based on one bit coding of the received signal, that can be implemented for real-time processing on simple low cost architectures;
- development of statistical techniques for moving target detection using SAR systems
