Short description of research profile

The laboratory is conceived with the aim of fostering empirical and experimental research projects in the field of education and didactics, effectively “resetting” traditional approaches and promoting innovation through the integration of technologies and digital tools, which increasingly intersect with learning processes and pedagogical practices. The educational impact of this space lies in enriching both the curriculum and the experiential learning opportunities of students enrolled in the innovative Master’s Degree program LM-50/93.

The laboratory seeks to establish a University Humanities Hub, envisioned as a dynamic environment for study, creation, and implementation of embodied, motor-based, and artistic-expressive activities within techno-visual settings. It is designed to support the development of “third mission” initiatives (e.g., periodic events, festivals, cultural programs, video performances, and educational exhibitions), where the RESET-lab functions as a “micro innovation hub” for the continuous professional development of educators and the broader community.

As a research laboratory grounded in participatory action research, it offers an additional growth opportunity for students within the degree program, complementing their formal curricular education. The project aims to address emerging educational needs while providing concrete services to the local context across formal, non-formal, and informal learning environments.

The laboratory’s methodological framework prioritizes transdisciplinary, technology-mediated, and embodied approaches (“embodied-tech-centered”), developing original interventions in which corporeality and digitality interact in a strategic and effective way. Through a rigorous process of participatory action research involving both researchers and students, the initiative seeks to “set” and experiment with new physical and mediated learning environments, focusing primarily on well-being and the quality of development of younger generations.
